Sony James is a scholastic chess coach with 12 years of experience, having trained numerous state and individual champions. A FIDE-rated player (1690) and tournament competitor for 25+ years, he has played in district and state championships and serves as a scholastic tournament director, bringing both competitive expertise and coaching excellence to his students.

M.B Muralidharan, the Director of Board of Studies, stands as the inaugural Kerala player to surpass 2400 rating points in FIDE, achieving a pinnacle of 2420 rating points. As a former National Premier Player and 'B' runner-up, he has clinched numerous State Champion titles and excelled in various All India Chess Tournaments across the country. Notably, Muralidharan played a crucial role in the CRPF Chess Team, alongside luminaries like Nasir Ali, Praveen Tipsey, and Varughese Koshy, leading the team to consecutive victories in the National Team Chess Championships for four years from 1991 to 1997.

Mr. Suresh Kumar T J, A highly respected figure in the Indian chess circuit, is the former coach of the Indian Youth Chess Team and currently serves as the coach for the Indian Railways Chess Team. A seasoned professional, he holds prestigious international titles from the World Chess Federation (FIDE)—FIDE Trainer and FIDE Arbiter, the latter of which he earned in 2015. His experience as a player includes representing India at the World Junior Chess Championship and finishing as national junior runner-up, marking him as both a formidable competitor and a strategic thinker. Over the years, he has gained a reputation as a passionate and dedicated chess coach, particularly recognized for mentoring junior players across the country, he is also mentor and trainer for many titled players in India and abroad.
